Declan John is desperate to book a trip to Hampden with St Mirren - and help erase the pain of his only previous trip to the national stadium with Rangers. ‌

The left wing back was superb as the Buddies warmed up for Friday’s League Cup quarter final clash at Kilmarnock with a 2-1 win at Falkirk on Saturday. ‌

John’s deflected free kick opened the scoring and the 30-year-old laid the clincher on a pate for Mikael Mandron. ‌

Now he hopes Stephen Robinson ’s men can take their form into the last eight showdown with Killie and secure a first trip to Hampden for Saints in five seasons..
