Text messages allegedly sent by the suspect in the killing of Charlie Kirk reveal that the man bragged about the opportunity to “take out” the political activist. That’s according to FBI Director Kash Patel.

Patel spoke about the messages allegedly sent by the accused shooter during an appearance on “Fox & Friends” Monday morning.

“He had a text message exchange, he the suspect with another individual in which he claimed that he had an opportunity to ‘take out’ Charlie Kirk and he was going to do it because of his hatred for what Charlie stood for,” Patel said.

The FBI head then said those messages were turned over to local and federal authorities to help with their prosecutorial decisions. Patel went on to say that the public has a right to know about those text messages, despite the
