CENTREVILLE, MI – Rides and midway games didn’t start until Monday, Sept. 15,, but an unfazed crowd found plenty to do – and eat – at Sunday’s opening day of the 174th St. Joseph County Grange Fair.
Fair officials said the 2025 event got off to a strong start, thanks to ideal weather and a pent-up demand for St. Joseph County’s largest annual event.
A Chicago-area family with a seasonal home in St. Joseph County said they intentionally delayed their return to Illinois until late Sunday in order to enjoy opening day.
“We actually drove out this weekend specifically for the fair,” said Steve and Sheila Scaglione, who were early arrivals Sunday with their children, Caleb, 10, and 7-year-old Reena. “It’s our third year coming to the fair and it is becoming a tradition we all look forward to
