SPARTANBURG, S.C. - A South Carolina father is calling for justice after he says he was left for dead in a hit-and-run that led to the loss of his leg.

Trevor Bibeau has spent the last month pushing through the loss of his left leg, a loss he never imagined.

39-year-old passenger dies in Columbia County crash

A 39-year-old woman from Stapleton died in a Columbia County single-vehicle accident, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

The father of two says he was headed home from work on his electric scooter around 9:30 p.m. Aug. 13. It’s a route he says he’d taken hundreds of times.

But that night, Bibeau says a truck was coming at him, so he tried to get out of the way. Instead, he says driver of the truck hit him, ran over his leg and took off.
