The Danville Riverview Rotary Club will host two fundraising events on Saturday, linked by a web-footed waterfowl.

In a first-time endeavour, the club will stage a Jeep Jam from 9 a.m. to noon at Ballou Park. By teaming up with Blackwell Dodge of Danville, the event invites Jeep lovers to unite and show off their rugged rides.

It’ll feature a chance for attendees to learn about how to customize the vehicles and swap stories on off-road adventures.

It’s become a new tradition over the last few years for Jeep owners to collect rubber ducks, often sporting the colorful creatures on the dashboard. Oftentimes, owners leave the small creatures on Jeeps to continue the ritual that started as a way to bring a smile.
