Olympic champion Cole Hocker's goal of winning a world title in the 1,500 meters is over.

The former Oregon star and gold medalist at the Paris Summer Games in 2024 was disqualified for jostling after finishing second in his semifinal heat on Sept. 15 at the Tokyo World Athletics Championships.

Hocker and U.S.A Track & Field filed an appeal but it was denied.
