Downtown Montgomery's all-boys, faith-based private school, Valiant Cross Academy , plans to house part of its elementary school on Alabama State University's campus at the Zelia Stephens Early Childhood Center, VCA and ASU leaders announced Monday.

The campus space that VCA will use at ASU will serve kindergarten, first, and second grade this year, with plans to add third grade in the following school year.

Beyond the partnership providing a physical space for learning at VCA, students at VCA will be able to access dual enrollment opportunities and pursue higher education at ASU with unique access to scholarships, internships and career readiness initiatives, school leaders said.
