HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - The City of Hazard has launched a new way for residents to stay connected.
The “Go Hazard KY” app is designed to deliver faster updates on city services and events. Features include text, email, Facebook, and voice alerts, along with links to the city’s website and the Hazard-Perry County Chamber of Commerce. Residents can also use the app to pay bills and access information from departments like police and fire.
Mayor “Happy” Mobelini said the app will make a big difference during service interruptions.
“Any time that you can have more communication the better off you are… if we know there’s a boil water advisory in this area we can put that on the app,” Mobelini said. “We can estimate, you know, how long your water is going to be out and stuff like that. Any commu
