Friday’s team meeting gave Chennis Berry all the confidence that SC State’s offense was poised to break out against Bethune-Cookman. The Bulldogs totaled 561 yards in a 55-41 victory Saturday night in Orangeburg.
“When meeting with the offense (Friday) I could see they were engaged and locked in,” Berry said during his postgame press conference Saturday. “The focus all week had been on better execution, and I thought our guys were intentional tonight in everything they did. They went out and performed at a high level.”
