A huge police operation was triggered following reports of someone carrying an axe in Holyhead. Reports were filed around midday today after an individual was spotted with what appeared to be an axe near the town's Tesco store and close to two primary schools. ‌

A major police response was deployed with patrol cars seen speeding along the A55 on Anglesey. Two local schools, Ysgol Kingsland and Ysgol Gymraeg Morswyn, were placed into lockdown. This meant all pupils were secured inside the schools and remained in their classrooms, reports North Wales Live . ‌
