After 30-plus years in Hollywood, New Orleans-born and Baton Rouge-raised actress Katherine LaNasa took home an Emmy Sunday night.
Besting five other nominees, including Patricia Arquette and former Louisianan Parker Posey, LaNasa received the statuette for best supporting actress in a drama series for her role in the much-acclaimed HBO Max freshman series, "The Pitt." It also was her first Emmy nomination.
"I am so proud and honored to receive this award from the (Television) Academy," LaNasa began. "My whole career I wanted to work for John Wells, and he elevates everything in his wake. John, I'm so much better when you're around … mostly because I don't want to get fired."
