One person died and another was seriously injured after a shooting at a party in south Mesa early on Sept. 15, according to the Mesa police.

At about 2:11 a.m., police were called to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex near Gilbert Road and the U.S. 60, according to Detective Jesse Macias, a Mesa Police Department spokesperson.
