A woman has passed away following what appears to be an overdose.

At about 5 p.m. on Sunday, police were called regarding a 34-year-old woman who was suffering from an apparent overdose.

When police arrived, they found the woman had been transported to Brockville General Hospital. Despite life-saving measures being performed, the woman was later pronounced deceased.

Police say they are not deeming the death as suspicious, and members of the Brockville Police Service are assisting in the death investigation being conducted by the Office of the Chief Coroner.
