A Dreamgirls revival is heading back to Broadway in 2026, it was just announced!

The Tony-award winning musical, which first debuted in 1981 at the Imperial Theatre, will return to the Great White Way in the fall of 2026, with five-time Tony nominee Camille A Brown set to direct and choreograph.

Her recent works include choreographing the recent Gypsy revival, as well as Hell’s Kitchen , both of which she received Tony nominations for.

Dreamgirls features a book and lyrics by Tom Eyen and music by Henry Krieger , and has been a big hit with several productions throughout the years, as well as a 2006 movie starring Beyoncé , Jennifer Hudson , Anika Noni Ro
