RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Voters will have a say on who represents them inside the Virginia House of Delegates.

All 100 seats are up for election, and the road to a majority will come through the metro Richmond area.

“Richmond actually will probably decide control of the House of Delegates,” said Larry Sabato, UVa Center for Politics executive director.

Sabato says there a number of competitive races in the Richmond region that could decide if Democrats keep their slim majority in the House of Delegates or if Republicans flip the chamber.

“The road to a majority comes through Richmond for both sides. Richmond has more closely competitive contests than any other region,” said Sabato.
