Good news for Homewood bookworms! The Homewood Public Library recently began a new round of renovations funded by the City of Homewood, set to enhance the library’s spaces and services to the community.

Homewood Public Library begins third phase of renovations

In use since 1987, the Homewood Public Library building at 1721 Oxmoor Road has undergone several renovations in recent years. In 2020, the Library completed a 3,000-square-foot expansion that moved the computer lab and four new study rooms to the Adult Department. Then, the library parking lot was redesigned and repaved in 2022 to provide accessible parking for patrons.

Now, the Homewood Public Library has launched a third phase of renovations—thanks to support from the City of Homewood.
