A Charlton woman was convicted Friday of raping a 12-year-old child while she was their foster parent 10 years ago, prosecutors said.

Heather Wright-Craft, 52, was found guilty on charges of raping a child, aggravated by age difference and being a mandated reporter, Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.’s office said.

The jury also found Wright-Craft not guilty of assault and battery during a trial in Worcester Superior Court, the statement said.

After the verdict, Wright-Craft’s $20,000 bail was revoked and she was taken into custody, according to court documents and the statement.

The assaults happened between December 2015 and January 2016, court documents show.

She was arrested and charged in Dudley District Court in August 2017, prosecutors said.
