BBC The One Show announces 'sad news' as hosts pay emotional tribute to 'legend'

The One Show announced sad news as the hosts paid an emotional tribute to a "legend" on Monday (September 15).

During today's edition of the popular BBC programme, Alex Jones and Roman Kemp chatted with guests Ed Sheeran, Paddy McGuinness and Vernon Kay.

As the show drew to a close, Roman revealed the devastating news of boxer Ricky Hatton's death after the former world champion was discovered dead at his Manchester home on Sunday. He was 46 years old.

"Very quickly before we go, there was some sad news over the weekend that former world champion boxer Ricky Hatton had passed away," Roman began.
