Allentown, PA – A bomb threat that forced a police and fire response to Trexler Middle School on Monday morning has been deemed false, authorities confirmed.

The incident began around 8:30 a.m. when the Allentown Police Department received a report of a possible explosive device at the school. Officers, working with school district staff and security, evacuated students and conducted a sweep of the building and grounds. A police canine team trained in explosive detection found no suspicious packages.

Following the search, investigators with the department’s Youth Division identified a juvenile male student as the source of the threat. Police said the student was taken into custody without incident and charged with terroristic threats.
