Boaters at Lake Pueblo State Park can expect nearly 200 additional slips and a new general store when North Shore Marina is rebuilt during the next few years.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife signed a 20-year contract with the marina's operator, The O'Neil Group, for a replacement marina and a general store with a restaurant and laundry facility to be built at the state park, according to a news release Friday.

Under the contract, The O'Neil Group, a Colorado Springs private equity firm and the operator of the marina since 2022, will continue its role until 2045, said Becky Buist, operations manager at Lake Pueblo State Park.

The O'Neil Group plans to spend an estimated $10 million on the rebuilt marina, said Dan Allen, general manager of the North Shore Marina.
