LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - From fun activities for kids to a space for studying, the Calcasieu Central Library has anything the mind needs for every age group.

“We’ve got programs for everyone, from story time for our toddlers, to children and art programs, to teen programs, all the way up to adult programs. Just anything and everything, you know, age group, we’ve got something for them,” Calcasieu Parish Library Public Information Officer Christy Comeaux said.

One area that Comeaux said is often used is the Create and Make Station, where college students can go inside and either craft, sew, or even crochet.

The Central Library also has private rooms available for uninterrupted study sessions.

Comeaux said that there’s even an event happening Tuesday that the young readers of Southwest
