MONTICELLO, Ark. (KTRE) - Former Lufkin Panther Elijah Alexander picked up his first sack of the season in East Central’s 38-13 win over Arkansas Monticello on Saturday.

The freshman’s sack came in the fourth quarter.

Alexander finished with four tackles, including his first sack. In the fourth quarter, Alexander sacked Monticello quarterback Tavion Faulk for a 2-yard loss on second down. Carthage’s Amajah Lewis finished with two tackles. For Monticello, Mineola’s Kobe Kendrick had a tackle.

Arkansas Monticello (0-2) will host Henderson State on Sep. 20, while East Central (2-0) will host Southern Nazarene.
