WICHITA, Texas (KTRE) - Former Timpson Bear Tyler Lane picked up a sack and a forced fumble in Friends’ 62-0 shutout against Bethel on Saturday.

The freshman has 3 1/2 sacks in three games.

Lane finished with two tackles, 1 1/2 sacks and a forced fumble. Lane’s sack came in the third quarter on a third down and four. Lane sacked Byron Reese for a 7-yard loss to force Bethel to punt. Later in the quarter, Lane assisted on a sack and forced Reese to fumble, which was recovered by Friends.

Friends (3-0) is ranked No. 6 in the nation in the NAIA poll and will head to Hillsboro, Kansas, to face Tabor College on Sep. 20.
