MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - UW-Madison Police Department is investigating after receiving five reports of e-bike and e-scooter thefts that happened over the last few weeks on campus.
According to a release from UWPD, police received these theft reports from August 28-September 13.
Locations of where the items were stolen include Union South, Lowell Center, Nicholas Recreation Center and Ogg Residence Hall.
To prevent similar thefts in the future, authorities encourage residents to purchase an anti-theft device or a heavy duty lock for a bike or scooter. They also recommend residents park in a garage or other secure area.
