According to the Texas Lottery, a person in Midlothian won $1 million playing Powerball.
The state lottery said the second-tier prize was won during the Sept. 6 drawing, in which a player in Fredericksburg won half of a historic $1.8 billion jackpot .

The Midlothian player's Quick Pick ticket matched all five white balls (11-23-44-61-62) but not the red Powerball (17). The ticket was bought at a Murphy USA gas station on Walton Way.
The winner asked to remain anonymous.

Two other Texas players also won second-tier prizes, including a $1 million winner in Austin and a $2 million winner in Tyler whose prize was doubled because they added on the Power Play.
