IONIA COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) - West Nile Virus has been found in two birds in Ionia County, the Health Department announced Monday afternoon.

One case was found in an American crow, and another was found in a bald eagle.

West Nile Virus is transmitted via mosquito bites.

There are no vaccines or treatments for WNV.

Symptoms include fever, headache, body aches, vomiting, diarrhea, or a rash.

Anyone who sees a sick bird in the area is asked to contact the DNR here.
