CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) -- With nearly 25 years of coaching experience under her belt, it was only natural that Tyra Perry talk all things leadership.

"As a coach, you know, whenever you have a chance to speak about teamwork, then you jump on it," said Perry, preparing for her tenth season as head coach of the Illini softball program.

The Secret Sauce is Us is the name of the ten-minute talk she is set to give at the collaboration between 5 Things and Illinois Athletics.

When Tyra Perry and the other speakers, including head women's basketball coach Shauna Green and Senior Associate Athletics Director Sara Burton, take the stage on Thursday, the hope is that their insights on leadership, teamwork and other topics rooted in sports can be applied in countless other ways.
