PORT ARTHUR, Texas — A man is now off the after climbing the radio tower at Lamar State College Port Arthur Monday afternoon, prompting a large emergency response as police worked to bring him down safely.

A 12News Skycam which shows the tower, was able to catch the man's climb up the tower. It now shows that the man is down from the tower. The details of his descent are unknown at this time. 12New is reaching out to officials to get more confirmed information.

The call came in around 3:30 p.m. at the Ruby Fuller building, where witnesses reported seeing the man on the tower, which is estimated to be about 200 feet tall. Port Arthur police officers negotiated with him while fire crews and EMS were standing by in case of an emergency.
