CLEVELAND (WJW) -- The FOX 8 I-Team has uncovered more of what was happening at the moment gunfire erupted leaving six people hurt in the Flats.

We have recordings of the first calls for help, and new reports show what fire officials were doing.

When the gunfire started, the first call to police came from a Cleveland firefighter.

He asks a police dispatcher, "Did you just get the call? This is fire, shots fired West 10th and Main."

Sunday evening, Sept. 7, gunshots ripped through a big crowd in the Flats. One witness told 911, "There are gunshots. People are down. There are no police present."

Another said, "There's a shooting. There was lots of shots fired."
