Quantity for quality, that's what the Royals are banking on with a Monday morning move with the Wenatchee Wild.

Victoria dealt prospect Chace Gregg and five draft picks to the Wild in exchange for 19-year-old Miles Cooper.

Four of the picks given up were previously acquired selections, with the Royals sending a pair of fourth-round picks in 2026 (Brandon and Everett), a 2027 fourth-round pick (Brandon), and a 2028 fourth-round pick (Tri-City), along with their own 2027 second-round pick.

Gregg, a 15-year-old from Winnipeg, Man., was originally selected 50th overall by the Royals in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft.
