CLEMSON, S.C. (WSPA) -- With big events like football games, crews in Clemson work extra hard to keep the community clean.
“If they left trash for two ball games, you wouldn't do anything but walk on trash,” said Don Johnson.
Johnson has worked for the Clemson Public Works Department for 20 years. He said every day is busy, especially days leading up to a big Clemson game.
“We go back on Sunday mornings and we'll pick up for about three hours. Normally around three hours it takes us to walk everything, walk all the streets and parking decks, get all the trash and then we start back over on Monday,” said Johnson.
Every day of the week, crews are out on the streets of downtown Clemson, picking up every piece of trash they can find.
