The Minnesota Vikings have been dealt a double blow.

After losing their home opener 22-6 to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football , QB1 J.J. McCarthy reportedly suffered an injury in the contest.

The Michigan product has a high ankle sprain and is expected to miss two-to-four weeks, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported .

McCarthy in his NFL debut led Minnesota to a comeback road win over the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football , throwing for 143 yards, two touchdowns and a pick.

Despite the win, McCarthy struggled for most of the game, issues that boiled over to Week 2 where he threw 158 yards, no touchdowns and two picks while fumbling three time
