With flags and candles in hand, about 600 people made multiple prayers about Kirk, his family and the United States during a vigil held Sunday evening at DeGarmo Park.

Organizers spoke about the family and future legacy of Kirk, who co-founded the political organization Turning Point USA and was shot and killed Wednesday at Utah Valley University.
