KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A University of Tennessee alum is nominated for an Emmy for his work on the Apple TV show 'Severance.'

The Clarence Brown Theatre said Tramell Tillman received his master's degree in acting at the university in 2014.

Tillman is nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category. This is his first nomination. 'Severance' leads this year's awards with 27 nominations.

"We have always seen your immense talent, and we are SO PROUD to call you our own," the Clarence Brown Theatre wrote on Facebook.

Tillman is nominated along side co-stars Zach Cherry and John Turturro, Walton Goggins, James Marsden and Sam Rockwell.
