LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - After outscoring their first three opponents by a combined score of 174-35, No. 17 Texas Tech will face its first test in the Rocky Mountains this Saturday- No. 16 Utah.
Even though Joey McGuire has been 0-3 in road openers as head coach, he says this year’s team is now in a better position than in years past, because the coaches and players have already had three chances at home to adjust.
“It makes a big difference,” he said. “We’ve played three games before we go on the road, because a lot of times, you should be in a good position where you’re eliminate some of those first game, second game jitters.”
