As a Department of Social Services call center continues to struggle with wait times, some are worried the problem will get worse thanks to changes under the Big Beautiful Bill.

They’re worried those changes will lead to even longer wait times and, ultimately, people losing their Medicaid, SNAP and other benefits if they can’t reach someone for help.
