JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. —
District Attorney Danny Carr announced on Monday that he has shown the family of Jabari Peoples the same version of the video that he was shown.
They do not have a copy of that video, Carr told WVTM 13.
This comes on the same afternoon that the city of Homewood responded to the Amended Rule 27 Petition.
The petition was originally filed by the family of Jabari Peoples in order to push to see the bodycam footage. After seeing parts of the footage, the petition was amended to call for seeing the full video of the shooting.
The family claimed that they knew there was more to the footage because of a news conference from Carr , who spoke about seeing things that were not in the footage they were shown.
