GORDO, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Alabama Governor Kay Ivey stopped in west Alabama Monday morning to honor an expanded Pre-K program that’s now open to more children in Pickens County.
This is also part of the governor’s back-to-school tour, underscoring the state’s commitment to early childhood education.
Teachers saw Governor Ivey’s visit as a stamp of approval, that momentum in getting the first-ever expanded Pre-K program off and running. They felt it and they are certain it will pay off in a very big way.
