OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Nebraska’s first fraternity formed on this day over 150 years ago.

According to the University of Nebraska , the first fraternity was a literary society called the Palladian Society.

It was a group of 25 students.

The group was given a room in University Hall, as long as they didn’t break the 9:30 curfew for their Friday night meetings.
