COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — UPDATED 7:45 p.m., September 15 - No action has been taken Monday night by the North Idaho College Board of Trustees following an executive session board meeting to discuss an NIC assistant professor's controversial Facebook post about the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, according to an NIC spokesperson.

The spokesperson said the Board can only make recommendations to the college, not impose any disciplinary actions upon college employees.

The social media post circulating online, allegedly made by the assistant professor, appeared to celebrate Kirk's death and concluded with "thoughts and prayers you make it to hell."

This is a developing story.
