The only survivor of a triple stabbing in east Vancouver earlier this month has died of her injuries.

Jinfeng Guan, 50, died last Thursday in hospital.

Vancouver police say prosecutors have been told of Guan’s death and investigators are gathering evidence for more charges against the accused.

Viet Quy John Ly, 54, was already facing two charges of second-degree murder in the deaths of Jianghui Deng, 55, and Chunxiu Yin, 54. Both were found in a residential building near Joyce Street and Vanness Avenue on Sept. 5.

Guan was found gravely injured in a residence about two blocks from that crime scene.

VPD Sgt. Steve Addison said Ly remains in custody.
