LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Hundreds gathered at the Michigan Capitol Monday grieving the loss of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Kirk was shot and killed on Sept. 10 while debating on the campus of Utah Valley University as part of Turning Point USA's "American Comeback" tour, an organization he co-founded.
The event at the Capitol was hosted by the Michigan Republican Party. Chase Lancaster was one of the people who turned out to honor Kirk.
"I think it's great that things like this are happening, but at the same time, too, there's a lot of people out there that are celebrating the death in ways that are very negative," Lancaster said.
