Florida Woman Fights Off Alligator to Save Her Puppy

What began as a routine walk near her Florida home quickly turned into a life-or-death struggle for Danie Wright and her four-month-old puppy. The young pup had been happily exploring along a creek when, without warning, a five-foot alligator lunged from the water. In an instant, the reptile clamped onto the dog’s collar and dragged it beneath the surface, leaving Wright with only seconds to act.
