Moment of silence requested by the OK State Superintendent, schools respond

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters has asked public schools to observe a moment of silence in honor of Charlie Kirk on Tuesday at noon.

Kirk was killed while speaking to students at a Utah university last week.

Several Oklahoma school districts from all across the state tell KFOR they are opting out because they already observe a moment of silence every day, and adding another moment of silence would create an "unnecessary disruption."
