A new assessment from the New York Police Department ( NYPD ) has warned that political figures, CEOS and other prominent individuals are "vulnerable" when speaking at public events amid the "volatile" environment in the U.S.
The report, obtained by Newsweek from the NYPD's counterterrorism and intelligence bureau, was released in the wake of the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk last week, amid what the assessment described as an "increasingly volatile threat environment in the U.S."
