WASHINGTON — Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man accused of shooting another man to death in July.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the deadly shooting happened on July 18. Officers were called to the 100 block of Fort Drive, NE, at 12:15 a.m. for reports of a fight inside an apartment. Upon arrival, first responders found a man suffering from an unknown injury inside the home. He later died inside the apartment.
The man was later identified as 41-year-old Allen Shropshire from Northeast D.C. A medical examiner confirmed Shropshire was shot and ruled his death a homicide a day later.
