Two Hallsville School District employees have been placed on paid administrative leave after public outcry over posts they made about Charlie Kirk.
The posts were in reference to last week's assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at a college campus event in Utah. Both employees reshared the same post, which read in part:
"May all of our children grow up to live in a county that values their lives enough to take gun violence seriously and reject any person who would try to justify senseless gun-related deaths — especially the deaths of children."
Hallsville Superintendent Tyler Walker sent out an email to families on Monday announcing the two employees had been placed on paid administrative leave.
