As the only remaining in-state processor of waste cooking oil from Albany to Buffalo, we play a vital role in protecting both the environment and the restaurant industry. If we were forced to shut down or significantly reduce operations, the impact would be immediate and severe.
More than one-third of all restaurants in New York would be left with no service provider. It would take competitors more than two years to install the necessary infrastructure to serve these restaurants, during which time millions of gallons of used cooking oil would be dumped illegally into storm drains, sewers, and waterways.
