APS facility director faces possible firing in alleged sales scheme

The Akron school board is taking the first steps toward firing a district official who's accused of operating a scheme to buy and sell Akron Public Schools property.

During an emergency meeting Sept. 16, board members unanimously approved a resolution declaring the board's intent to consider terminating Facility Services Department Director Steven Keenan.
