MUNFORD, Tenn. (WMC) - A man is facing charges after an apartment fire in Munford.

The fire broke out at the Surreywood Apartments on September 13.

The apartments were evacuated due to smoke and water damage. The American Red Cross is assisting families who were impacted.

Investigators soon determined the fire had been intentionally set.

Lazarick Ballard was identified as the suspect and arrested.

Ballard is charged with aggravated assault and booked on a $150,000 bond.
